The Agricultural University of Athens participated in Waste PREMIUM – Waste PREvention campaign
The Agricultural University of Athens participates in the European Week for Waste Reduction – EWWR 2020, www.ewwr.eu by organizing the awareness action Waste PREMIUM: Waste PREvention caMpaign In University caMpus.
The action is a two days information campaign (on the 24th and the 25th of November) on waste prevention and proper waste management at the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) Campus and offices. Its main objectives are:
- to increase environmental awareness by projecting (poster) existing sustainability actions, especially in the waste management field, and evaluating their environmental positive effect,
- to familiarise site users with existing waste sorting procedures (a guide on what, where, how) and
- to propagate (poster) basic tips on plastic waste reduction.
- to create synergies by increasing networking and alliances between the environmental management office and the University members.
