Frederick University is participating in this year’s Thalassa Festival
Frederick University is participating in this year’s Thalassa Festival (Thalassa 2022), organized by the Shipping Deputy Ministry and the Municipality of Limassol.
The event will be held on 20 and 21 May at Limassol’s seaside park and aims to attract young people to maritime and in general to raise awareness on the prospects of the sector. The festival’s visitors will have the opportunity to learn about blue economy and discover relevant study and career options. Academic and administrative staff from the Department of Maritime Transport and Commerce and the Admissions Office will be there to present the University’s maritime programs and research.
Moreover, the Marine Robotics Centre of the University’s Robotics and Automated Systems Lab (RAS Lab) will present ‘Heron’, the first ever marine robot created in Cyprus, and other autonomous intelligent marine robotic systems it has created.
