UTCB were the hosts of the 8th edition of EENVIRO – The Conference of the Sustainable Solutions for Energy and Environment.
Between 17-20 of October, our partners from Technical University of Civil Engineering in Bucharest were the hosts of the 8th edition of EENVIRO – The Conference of the Sustainable Solutions for Energy and Environment.
Having as main theme “Sustainable Solutions for Energy and Environment”, the conference included workshops and oral presentations addressing a wide range of topics regarding sustainable and smart urban development, energy and environment. The scope of EENVIRO is to provide all participants with a firm platform for a meaningful academic, industrial, social and cultural experience and to enable the academia and industry to come together in order to share valuable ideas and to develop new collaborations.
At this edition, four of our EU-CONEXUS researchers and colleagues from Klaipeda University, Lithuania and La Rochelle Université, France held presentations and a workshop, namely :
- Dr. Rasa ZILIENE, who gave a Keynote Lecture on ‘Low temperature district heating concept in the smart energy system: challenges and benefits’ and held a Workshop on ‘Sustainable Industrial economics in coastal regions’
- Ph.D. Daiva LABANAUSKAITE, who gave a Keynote Lecture on ‘Tourism transformation into responsible form towards the sustainable development’
- Béatrice COLIN, lecture on ‘Calcareous deposit formation under cathodic polarization and marine biocalcifying bacterial activity’
- Caroline MARAIS, lecture on ‘Development of environmentally friendly materials based on recycled aggregates and seawater electrolysis for cliffs protection and dykes reinforcement’
We are proud that this 8th edition was organized by UTCB together with the EU-CONEXUS Consortium, the Center for Energy, Resilience and Urban Synergies – CERUS and Advanced Research Center for Ambiental Quality and Building Physics – CAMBI.
