UCV researchers develop an antimicrobial lipstick
Researchers at the Bioengineering and Biomaterials Laboratory of the Catholic University of Valencia (UCV) have created an antimicrobial lipstick that protects against viruses and bacteria. The proposed antimicrobial red lipstick offers a new form of protection against a broad range of microorganisms, including enveloped and non-enveloped viruses, bacteria, and fungi, in the current COVID-19 pandemic and microbial-resistant era. The research has been published in the prestigious international scientific journal ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, published by the American Chemical Society (ACS).
