UTCB Dissemination activities at the beginning of the academic year
With great enthusiam, our partners from UTCB held a series of dissemination activities for the students at the beginning of the academic year, such as:
- Opening of the new Academic Year by the rector and the deans
- EU-CONEXUS Information sessions for Bachelor and PhD School students
- Tour of the campus and of the university organized by the Counselling and Guiding Centre
- Welcome kit (Students Guide, mechanic crayon, engineer’s helmet) for 1st year students organized by ASCB – The Association of Civil Engineers Students Bucharest
- EU-CONEXUS Open Day for Staff and Students
For instance, The EU-CONEXUS Open Day for Academic Staff and Students held on 11th of October was a great occassion that reunited the UTCB community interested in the work of the office and in the upcoming opportunities of the Alliance.
The four members of the UTCB EU-CONEXUS Office, namely – Anca Mărgineanu – Institutional Coordinator, Ramona Diac – Mobilities Coordinator, Adriana Sumanaru – Project Development Coordinator and Lavinia Turcu – Communication and External Relations Coordinator held two different sessions – one for the academic staff and one for the students.
The Academic Staff had the chance to better know the work of both the Office and of the Alliance, to find out more about the latest and upcoming opportunities and to address matters of interest for them with the EU-CONEXUS representatives. It also gave them the chance to interact and network for fruitful collaborations.
The session dedicated to students had the aim to inform them about who we are, what we do and what are the European opportunities we provide for students from all the study cycles. It also offered the participants the opportunity to better understand the aim of the Alliance and to see what has been done so far and how is UTCB contributing to the mission of EU-CONEXUS. This session ended with the current open calls for students and how they can bring their contribution in the future.

This event is part of the series of events UTCB is organizing in order to better and more efficiently communicate with its community and audience the importance, relevance and benefits of being actively involved in the work of the Alliance. We hope that in the future many more staff and students representatives will play an active role to the succes of EU-CONEXUS.
