H.E. The Prime-Minister of Vietnam visits UTCB
Enthusiasm, joy, pride – those are just a few of the words that defined the 21st of January at UTCB, when our partners had the honor of hosting His Excellency, the Prime Minister of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh, who is a prominent graduate of the Faculty of Civil, Industrial and Agricultural Buildings, Class of 1984.
UTCB marked this unique occasion with a Festive Meeting in honour of His Excellency, hosting a workshop for representatives of the Romanian Alliance of Universities of Science and Technology (ARUST) and the G7 Group, an alliance consisting of 7 top technical universities in Vietnam.
After the closing of the official program, four MOUs (Memorandums of Understanding) were signed between UTCB and Vietnamese universities to promote international scientific cooperation in the field of education, training and academic research. The four agreements are:
- MOU between Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest and Hanoi University of Civil Engineering;
- MOU between Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest and University of Transportation and Communication;
- MOU between Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest and Thuyloi University;
- MOU between Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest and Hochiminh Open University.
The Rector of UTCB and Vice-Chair of the EU-CONEXUS Governing Board, Prof. Dr. Radu Văcăreanu, gave a speech and recognized the exceptional activity and achievements of H.E. The Prime-Minister in strategic infrastructure development, education and healthcare, environmental protection and living standard improvement, climate change response, green growth, new energy, digital transformation and the membership of UTCB in our Alliance as a founding member since 2019.
The MOUs signed at UTCB were exchanged between the Rectors of the universities on Monday, 22nd of January, at Victoria Palace (The Romanian Government), in the presence of the Romanian and Vietnamese Prime-Ministers, marking the start of a fruitful collaboration.
