Official launch of “Expanding Your Horizons” Researcher Development Programme
The EU-CONEXUS ENABLES is officially launching the “Expanding Your Horizons” Researcher Career Development Programme, designed to enhance the professional skills of early career researchers. This initiative aims to foster research excellence and improve career development through a variety of interactive workshops and training sessions.
The programme, which is based on the EU-CONEXUS Enables Training Needs Analysis survey, provides a series of tailored learning experiences to address key career development areas. It offers a flexible, interdisciplinary approach, with a wide range of topics designed to support researchers both in academia and beyond.
The first event, workshop #1: Mentoring Matters: An Introduction to Mentoring for Mentees, will take place online, featuring Eimear Fitzpatrick, HR Business Partner for Research at Sout East technological University (Ireland), as the guest speaker. Eimear Fitzpatrick will guide attendees through essential mentoring skills, providing insights into how mentees can build effective mentoring relationships, and explore practical tools to maximize the benefits of mentoring.
This two-hour workshop marks the start of a series of engaging, career-enhancing opportunities, open to early-stage researchers across the consortium!
“Expanding Your Horizons“ will help you get the most out of your research journey, enhancing your employability while enabling you to contribute to and benefit from the wider research culture within your respective researcher community. I hope you will set aside some time to engage with the programme over the next few months and I very much look forward to meeting you at some of the planned events along the way.”

All activities are organized under the EU-funded project EU-CONEXUS ENABLES (Project number: 101136822), titled ‘Promoting Excellence Through Innovative Eco-systems‘.
