A unique international cotutelle thesis opportunity
EU-DOCS for SmUCS : La Rochelle Université won a MSCA COFUND (Horizon Europe) project in partnership with EU-CONEXUS and international partners to prepare future experts in Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability
La Rochelle Université, in partnership with EU-CONEXUS and international partners, has launched the MSCA COFUND project “EU-DOCS for SmUCS,” aimed at recruiting 17 PhD students over the next two years. Co-financed by ExcelLR and EU-CONEXUS Plus, this project focuses on training researchers to address the challenges of Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability (SmUCS) through interdisciplinary and international collaboration.
PhD students will benefit from cotutelle theses, involving joint supervision between La Rochelle Université and a partner institution. This unique approach will result in a double doctoral degree, enhancing both scientific cooperation and the global perspective of students. In addition to interdisciplinary training, each student will undertake a 3-month secondment with a non-academic partner, gaining hands-on experience in tackling real-world SmUCS challenges.
