The Buddy System is an initiative of the EU-CONEXUS Student Board, with the goal to connect students within the alliance.
The idea of creating such a system comes from students who see all the potentials that the European University brings. They are cultural, social and scientific. Through this system, students are able to connect to their colleagues from other universities and share their own knowledge and experiences about each partner institution. By connecting to each other, this system creates a sense of camaraderie and belonging to the same university.
While attending classes in another university, a student would have numerous questions and doubts which is why this system is implemented in the first place. Thus, a Buddy becomes a mentor for his/her colleague and a guide to attend classes in another university in order to ensure faster adaptation to the new surroundings.
To make this process more efficient, Buddies will be matched based on their personal interests to allow better exchange of experiences. Thus, students will gain insight into how their fields of interests are treated in different universities, which can lead to additional motivation to work and also improvement of work in different fields of interest.
