International Staff Week
We are thrilled to announce the upcoming International Staff Week with a focus on ‘International Strategies for Student Support Services’, which will take place from 20th to 24th May 2024. Hosted at UTCB, this event promises a week of collaborative learning, insightful discussions, and exploration of different strategies aimed at enhancing student support services adapted to current students’ needs.
Agenda:
- Monday, May 20th – Welcome to UTCB – Afternoon Sessions
This day will welcome the participants and motivate them as they embark on a week of enriching experiences. It will start with arrivals, registration, and an engaging icebreaker activity designed to create an atmosphere of camaraderie among attendees.
- Tuesday, May 21st – Cultural Intelligence and Diversity Trainings
The events on this day will invite the participants into the world of cultural intelligence and diversity training. Learn strategies for fostering empathy and understanding in a multicultural environment, effective communication techniques, and the art of designing inclusive support services.
- Wednesday, May 22nd – International Student Services
The third day will be dedicated to supporting international students through the intricacies of visa applications, as well as designing effective orientation programs and sharing best practices to foster a sense of belonging. Explore collaborative initiatives with external organizations to enhance overall support services.
- Thursday, May 23rd – Career Development and Global Employability
Equip yourself with career development strategies for students. Engage in a networking session with industry partners, and discover effective strategies for fostering valuable connections with alumni.
- Friday, May 24th – Collaborative Solutions and Future Initiatives
Participate in roundtable discussions, explore project calls for future initiatives, and join the collective brainstorming on collaborative solutions. The week will conclude with closing remarks, reflecting on the insights gained and the collaborative spirit fostered throughout the week.
