Workshop #2: Career Planning & Preparing Academic / Non-Academic Applications

EU-CONEXUS Enables provides a series of tailored learning experiences to address key career development areas. It offers a flexible, interdisciplinary approach, with a wide range of topics designed to support researchers both in academia and beyond.

Workshop #2: Career Planning & Preparing Academic / Non-Academic Applications introduces some online tools and a provides a participatory space for early career researchers to explore their career choices post-PhD.

Career planning is an essential element of the PhD journey, but one that often gets overlooked due to the many other commitments an early career researcher has to undertake. This 2-hour workshop will explore a self-assessment tool for researcher career choices and a framework for how to embark on your career planning programme. We will discuss the potential of undertaking internships as part of your PhD training and how you might go about applying for such opportunities. We will also discuss approaches to applying for academic and non-academic positions. This will be an interactive workshop that aims to provide participants a space to consider their professional life beyond the PhD.

This session will be recorded.
