Workshop #3: Commercialising Your Research

EU-CONEXUS Enables provides a series of tailored learning experiences to address key career development areas. It offers a flexible, interdisciplinary approach, with a wide range of topics designed to support researchers both in academia and beyond.

Research commercialization is the process of transforming your research into marketable products. Commercialization of academic research generates important revenues, enhances your reputation and has enormous positive impact on society. Through commercialization you will develop new skills, new collaborations and have more opportunities for funding. This session introduces you to the commercialization of academic research. You will learn how to identify promising ideas that have commercial potential and how to protect your ideas. We will also discuss how to assess the market opportunity for your product, different ways to commercialise research and various funding options.
