Workshop on Introduction to Developing a Data Management Plan for Team Management

This workshop is designed to provide professionals specializing in research management and administration with a basic understanding of the implications and minimum requirements of a Data Management Plan (DMP). We will begin with an introduction to data management, establishing  fundamental principles and highlighting the importance of this methodology for scientific research and data administration. We will base our approach on the DAMA-DMBOK framework (Data Management Body of Knowledge), which provides a set of industry-recognized guidelines and best practices. Throughout the course, we will focus primarily on optimizing data organization, storage, and security, thereby maximizing its value throughout the research project’s lifecycle.

Specific Content:

Creating a DMP with Essential Components By the end of this workshop, participants will have acquired essential preliminary knowledge to develop a comprehensive and effective Data Management Plan (DMP). This foundation will enable them to structure and manage research data according to high standards of quality and security. Participants will also be equipped to meet the specific data management requirements critical for European funding applications.
