The contribution of coastal small and medium-sized cities to Urban and Regional Development
In the European area in general, and particularly in the Greek area, coastal cities have always played an important role in the wider regional development. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in research on small and medium-sized cities and how the economic activities of these cities contribute to urban and regional development. In response to this trend, the aim of this Student Research Hub research project is to identify and analyse the individual elements that make up the development indicators at a regional-local level, in coastal areas, within a specific period of time.
General Learning outcomes
- Research and collection of statistical data
- Methodology of construction economic indicators based on the collected statistical data
- Exploring the topic of regional development and the indicators that describe it
Assessment method: |
Written report/presentation of results At the end of this Student Research Hub, the students will present their research outcome in a report. The results will be compared within the group and evaluated by the mentor. |
Prerequisites for participating students: |
Undergraduate and postgraduate master students who specialise in economic or environmental studies. Good knowledge of the English language and computers is desirable.
